1. When 50% of your FG attempts are 3 pointers.....that's a problem
2.Our opponents tallest player is 6'5 and we get out rebounded....that's a problem
3. Our opponent shoots more FT's.....that's a problem
4. Our best best player picks up 3 charging fouls making the same move
that's a problem especially on the last possession when he gets the ball stolen......needs to develop an inside game to compliment the rest ofhis game.
Andrew is the only guy that stays around looking to rebound
Other players rather than crashing the boards are leaking out looking for a fast break dunk
Pressure is not effective unless all five guys are playing pressure defense
5. No points in the paint......that's a problem

I think that overall our guards played well......Kelvin's shot will come....we pressured the ball but our bigs have got stop their man from penetrating the lane

I think this is the most frustrating thing to watch as a fan, and the part I was most worried about losing Kurtis Woods. Ingle's trademark is his aggressive pressure go all out defense. We finally were looking to have a lineup where we could employ this with Spencer, Kurtis, Markeith, Ladaris, and Heramb. Now I am afraid that we will be forced into more tightly compacted defenses. It is hard to have momentum swings when aren't able to pressure the ball, and I am not sure that this team is going to be able to do that.

Lets see what kind of team comes out and plays next game before rushing to any psuedo blind judgments. Hopefully we will play much better next game.

Kurtis Woods would not have made a difference on that night, but HERAMB would have.

When two players are allowed to do whatever they want with the ball WHENEVER they want to, that's a problem. And that means holding the ball too long and jacking up a three late in the shot clock. We were 5 of 26 from three. Kennesaw basketball, why take 26 threes against a D3 team?

Not a good sign of things to come ...

Understandable frustration...but we were starting to gel towards the end of last year....I am not going to give up hope yet. Heramb coming back will be huge, I agree...

My question is how will the Owls respond? This is when a team's true identity appears!

Had to bump this back up. Goes to show you exhibitions really dont mean much. Lots of D1 schools went down this year in exhibition games. And a few of those d1 schools you'll see in the postseason. These d2 and d3 teams play like its the final four in these games. in the two real games this year, the intensity has been way up, and the ball movement has been better then it was against Lagrange.

I think the key is to look at who was in our starting lineup. It seems clear to me that Ingle was using this exhibition as a teaching tool and experience for all the players and wasn't necessarily only focused on winning. I agree it would be better to win, but if our young team learned some lessons that helped them beat GT, then give me a exhibition loss every year :)
