Huskies definitely vulnerable against a sustained passing attack.

EVERY team is. We didn't play great in the secondary, but it was good enough!!!

7-2 BABY!!!!

especially when our offense was going 3 and out...hard for our D to keep stopping them over and over.

RE: GAME DAY!!!!!!!!
Give it up for the coaches. They saw the run was not going to work and went to the air. Took a risk and it paid off big time. It did not hurt that we had the wind in Q4.

I second that. They were able to adjust late in the game. Props to them.

Huskie yardage totals-
rushing: 214
passing: 210

Balanced attack but thought the play calling became too conservative in the 4th quarter until we were forced to open it up.

I agree, 2 drives in a row we were too conservative, and it wasn't until we got behind again that we opened it up again.

As I thought, our pass defense is as usual susceptible to an efficient passing attack and we still don't get enough pressure on the QB. Great job by the WMU O-line to pick up all the blitzes, until that last one.

And also, Chad Spann is at 1,000 yards rushing exactly for the season.

RE: GAME DAY!!!!!!!!
Great college football game. What more could you ask for. Anybody think WMU would have gone for two if they tied it in the end? I think we would have gone to OT, because WMU can't run.

As a WMU alum, I've got to reach out and say that NIU played a great game today. Harnish did everything that was asked of him and Spann is just a beast this year. Good luck in your bowl game!

Thanks psc! WMU is definitely better than their record indicates.

I don't think so. They got blown out at home by a mediocre Idaho team and blown out by what appears to be a bad Notre Dame team. They were up for us yesterday and they're a dangerous offensive team, but they're not very good.

And we lost to Iowa State by 17 and barely beat North Dakota at home. Also, Notre Dame's QB was injured - as much as I hate ND, I think they were better than they showed yesterday. The way WMU is playing right now, they're better than their record. They have a young QB who's progressing nicely as the season continues.
