Kucinich in trouble
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washingt...inich.html
Quote:Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich is a tough little guy who has bounced up and back from numerous family and political adversities in his 64 years.
He's lived in the family car; shined shoes; been a court clerk, a young Cleveland city councilman, a victorious, obstreperous big-city mayor, a defeated, obstreperous big-city mayor; and, since the Clinton landslide of 1996, an obstreperous House member from Ohio's 10th congressional district.
But for how long?

If Barney and Ears both lose it's going to be a sign the republicans are on their way to a 70 seat pick up, at least.

RE: Kucinich in trouble
I dunno. Lots of "speculation" around these sorts of races, Kucinich, Frank, etc. Don't forget, election coverage is identical to promotions for Wrestlemania:
The WWE sets up the match as heel v face/ The media set up each election as heel v face
The WWE pushes just how close the match should be/The media pushes just how close the election should be
For weeks the WWE commentators cite all of the strenths of each wrestler/ For weeks the media cite the strengths of each candidate
For weeks the WWE commentators cite all of the weaknesses of each wrestler/ For weeks the media cite the weaknesses of each candidate
If a wrestler has a clear advantage prior to a match, the WWE will 'handicap' him, usually w/ some sort of heel attack to induce an injury right before the match/ If a candiate has a clear advantage prior to an election, the media will handicap him, usually with a heel attack news story right before the election
If a wrestler has a clear disadvantage prior to a match, the WWE will promote him extra hard, usually w/ some sort of stunning victory to highlight his strenghts/ If a candidate has a clear disadvantage prior to an election, the media will promote him extra hard, usually w/ some sort of story written to highlight his strenghts.
When the match is over, the loser is promptly forgotten until he can be used again/ When the election is over the loser and his political platform/"message" is promptly forgotten until it can be used again for the next election.

Numbers I saw today (RNCC) have it two ways, depending on turnout.
"High Turnout" its 49 Solid GOP 10 Lean GOP 17 Toss up
"Low Turnout" 58 Solid 8 Lean 12 Toss up
