They're not just in those areas libs consider "gay-friendly". Gays are more commonly found in urban areas. Again.. this is a fact. I'm not offending anyone with facts. It's a stereotype because it's true, that's where gays are more commonly found.

It's not that people become gay from living in an urban area, it's that gay people move there because they feel more accepted there.

Yeah, and I'm sure you didn't look at any of the information with that ignorant comment. Clearly more people in general live in those places. But you'll notice Houston, Atlanta, etc.. are not on that list. It's not just a big city, it's a place where they are accepted.

I think that's a given that there are tons of gays that are conservative. I said on average more are liberal. I never said there weren't conservative gays. Of course there are. My statement stands, on average, gays are more likely to be liberal. On which issues, I don't know, nor do I care to take the time to find out, because I never claimed to know.

But I have no reason to believe they are only liberal on one issue as Rebel said. He has done nothing to prove that claim. He pulled it out of his ass, without any factual information to back it up and he was called out on it.

What resource are you using saying gay people are not accepted in Houston, Atlanta?

There is a large gay community in Houston. They seem to be doing quite well. I have a gay couple living in my neighborhood. They appear to be republicans, with a Rick Perry and Greg Abbott signs in their yard. Very well kept yard, I might add. Also NObama bumper sticker on their BMW.

Sum I didn't say they weren't accepted at all. Not everything is black and white.

I said they were more accepted in those cities listed. Not that they were out lynching gays in Houston or stoning them in Atlanta.

Atlanta has a HUGE concentration of gay people. They pretty much Queer Eyed the entire areas known as Midtown and Virginia Highlands, turning them into very nice areas.

All big cities have a large gay population, the point was the biggest were in more liberal areas. Not that they didn't exist at all in the South. I never suggested there were no gays in rural areas or conservative cities.

Not to mention you're only proving my point that gays are more likely to be in urban areas, which also happen to be more liberal on average than the rural areas surrounding them.

BTW, yes, it DOES force it on people because they have these idiotic displays of hedonism in downtown areas by many, many storefronts. Are people supposed to not shop that day so these fools can do in public what they SHOULD keep in the GDamn bedroom?

How is it any different than what you'd see with straight people on Spring Break? I don't want to see either display.. or a Christmas parade for that matter.

I just don't like parades in general, but luckily I was born with the ability to turn my head so I don't have to watch. They aren't hurting me in any way.. what do I care what they do? It's not like the parade is bursting out without warning, you know when it is.

Plan accordingly, just as I do for the marathon that goes past my house. I have no interest in watching, or god forbid trying to run in a marathon, but it doesn't bother me. What they do has no effect on my life, why would I ever care? I know when the parade is, so I avoid that area of town for the day, it's not hard. Just like I avoid the downtown area during St. Patrick's day or during the Christmas parade. People want to celebrate those days, so be it, doesn't bother me, no one is forcing me to go.

They're walking in public wearing things (or not wearing things?) that would only be acceptable in Rio during Carnival. The only reason they can get away with it is because we're afraid to offend someone, so conservatives (even conservative gays) sit silently offended by the pasties, thongs, and public displays.
