Preston Lewis calling Catholic High Games!!!
Our former PA announcer and part-time radio play-by-play guy Preston Lewis has apparently surfaced as doing Catholic High Football games on KARN 920!!!

Saw it on facebook:

Last I heard he got out of the radio biz and was attending UAMS. Anybody know the deal here? Evan? Preston himself?

To paraphrase an old sitcom theme song: "we could use a man like Preston Lewis againnnn!"

Not a clue. Glad to see he's doing the play by play for my alma mater! I'll see if I can find out anything but my CHS resources are limited.

RE: Preston Lewis calling Catholic High Games!!!
Thank you for the kind remarks. Yes, I did have the privilege of announcing Catholic High football games this fall. The team had a tough season, but it was an honor to be part of the Little Rock Catholic family.

The broadcast was a work in progress, but we had all the games on 920 KARN, online, and via the iPhone app. Next year, we'd like to incorporate some live sideline reports (trying to talk my wife into the sideline reporter job). Not sure if I can afford her pay grade though.

Currently I live in Maumelle and am a Speech Language Pathologist in Sheridan.

Everybody ready for some basketball??! It's almost here!

RE: Preston Lewis
This week end there was a knock on my door and it was Preston Lewis's wife and baby followed by Preston. He is running for alderman here in Maumelle. I didn't realize he was the Preston Lewis was running until that time. When I opened my door I was a usual wearing some Trojan gear and we began discussing UALR basketball.

Wouldn't it be great if he came back and did some games at the JACK? Didn't you just love the color he put into public address announcing the games at Alltel.

Guess I will go early vote today for Preston.

He is the BEST PA announcer I've ever heard. Even better than the Birdman, and he was very very good. I'd sure like to see him back at the mike in the Jack. He was also a very good play by play man when he did it for the Trojans. Much better than Ray. I hope he wins his alderman race in Maumelle.

Obviously a very bright young man who was certainly a large part of Trojan basketball when he was here. Glad to hear he's doing well.
