RE: T.J. Fatinikun MAC West Defensive POTW
I called it! Fatinikun that is. Declared him a beast before the first snap and he's done nothing but support that.

Let other teams have their Samoans. We got Nigerians. I'm thinking a whole defensive line and a couple linebackers. Maybe even a 7 ft tight end. Nigeria's got some good kickers too. Best of the situation? No competition for the recruits.

Seriously though.

Wait, I was being serious. sigh. As someone mentioned on another thread, the D is looking good for the future. The linebacker they recruited from Michigan is tearing it up, looks like his team is headed towards another state championship try. Not sure about the one from Clyde, though he's built more like a safety I think. My wish list for this next class still includes Norrils from SJJ. MY impression is that he is a D version of Page, vision wise and seeing plays develop. Another I'd like to see is Damon Powel from Rogers. Both might still be looking at the B-Ball end of things though.

Would have liked Gambrills also but he apparently thinks he looks good in red and grey.

I'll say another thing: the MAC league as a whole has some great young QBs again.

Anyijong? Don't think he's Nigerian but he's African and near 7'. Put Owens in at QB and Ayijong at TE. Then have them both turn sideways when the ball is snapped so no one can see them. Owens throws to the spot where Anyijong is and everyone is looking around trying to find them. Or combine the two of them and come up with a slightly larger than average offensive lineman.
