I think it's about time for them to drop to FCS or DII. They wouldn't have to worry about recruiting against the Big Boys as Youngstown State doesn't recruit against Toledo, Michigan, Ohio State, or Notre Dame and would definitely find much more success in recruiting against teams like YSU or whatever lower tier schools there are out there. I even think that if they were to go that route (and I would strongly recommend it), they could still win some recruiting battles against the little guys of FBS like EMU and Akron.
