Key MAC matchups
Two big games for NIU this weekend:

Kent State/Toledo and Miami-OH/Central Michigan

I think KSU and Miami-OH both have realistic shots of winning! Go Flashes and Redhawks!!

and don't forget the Eastern Michigan (0-6) vs Ball State (2-4) game, can't miss that one..maybe these 2 powerhouses can beat on each other mercilessly, soften up each other, and make our last two games easier :)

I'm praying Toledo losses two MAC games before we play them so it's not a must win.

Yes, I'm afraid of Toledo.

RE: Key MAC matchups
With 2 MAC losses, I think CMU is already out of it. I can't see NIU losing more than 1 conference game. Toledo and Ball State are the only opposition to NIU at this point. Maybe WMU just because they are 1-1, but realistically I can't see them going without a couple more losses.

I do wish WMU takes W from Notre Dame this weekend (I hate everything about ND). That would make my day

Call me crazy, but I hope Toledo & the Huskies are within at least a game of each other 11/9.....

I'm hoping for a packed house on ESPN for a game that means something, and then we go out & beat them soundly. Maybe capturing the MAC West that night! 04-rock

I want Ball State to have 2 MAC losses as well.
Still means we have to take care of business.

RE: Key MAC matchups
NIU are only 15 point favorites!
The last 4 games NIU beat the odds.
Seems like it is highly likely that NIU will win by more than 15. Although if NIU has a big lead it would make sense to pull the top players.
Toledo is only a 3.5 point favorite, and Illini only a 4.5 point under-dog against 6-0 Michigan State.

RE: Key MAC matchups
Tomorrow will be a big test for our offense, in particular our running game. Based on what I have seen I think that we will win the game but I do not agree that it is highly likely that we will win by more than 15. If we can run the ball against these guys, our O Line is good enough to get a push against anyone left on our schedule.
