Broadous hit Dominique Johnson and Mark Rodgers with long touchdown passes in the first half and ran 2 and 8 yards for scores in the fourth quarter as Cal Poly improved to 4-2 on the year.

Despite accumulating 442 yards in total offense and scoring 37 points, Old Dominion fell to 3-3.

Old Dominion jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first 80 seconds of the game. After the Monarchs recovered a game-opening onside kick, Desmond Williams ran 10 yards for the touchdown.

The rest of the game belonged to Cal Poly, although the host Monarchs made several comeback attempts.
