Hope's Beast Feast
2010 Beast Feast
October 8 • 5 am–10 pm • Rain or Shine!
The annual Beast Feast is back and better than ever! Guys, grab a grill and head out to Hope!Think you’ve got the best BBQ recipe in town? Come give it a shot at Beast Feast! Our team of judges will sample whatever you’ve got—pork, beef, fowl, fish…whatever! Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category. Don’t want to compete? No problem! Bring your grill and some friends and come hang out!
There will be food and plenty of other activities including:
• Whole-hog pit roasting demo
• Fly fishing demo
• Cigar tent
Really, 5 am?
Some of the teams feel great BBQ takes time. So they like to get started, well…early. Feel free to come when you want. The judging for the competition won't take place until well into the evening, so if you can't make it before the work whistle blows don't worry!
Hungry and not cooking?
$8 will get you a heaping plate of hot, freshly cooked BBQ complete with beans, slaw, roll, drink and dessert!

Is the money going to anything worthwhile, or just the church's coffers?

RE: Hope's Beast Feast
It's a fair question, considering (I would hope) one of the main purposes of a church is to serve the community through some sort of outreach ministry.
If you responded, "as a matter of fact, the Beast Feast raised $50,000 for the Union Mission/YWCA shelter/etc." I would be very impressed.
I guess your lack of response answers that.
