Sad Elderly Husband And Wife Die In Each Others A
I work with the couples daughter. This one if the saddest things I have seen in a long time.

They were older, had been married for 64 years, lived long/fulfilling lives. He had alzheimers and would've been even more lost without her while she would have had to watch him fade away. Instead they died in each other's arms. I think it's much sweeter than sad.

Totally agree. I would bet both of them would have preferred this over just about anything else. It still makes me tear up, though.

From the standpoint of the couple, yes, this is the best way for them to go - together. However, the children are the ones who lost both parents at the same time, unexpectedly. That is the sad part.

The service was beautiful. I can see both sides here, but I am daughter, and if I lost both of my parents at the same time, you would have to lock me up for a long while. But yea, in a way it is bitter sweet.
