Another perpetual democrat senate seat at risk?!?
What's this?!? Much loved (at least in WV) Robert C. Byrd's seat doesn't appear to be going to a democrat. Extremely popular (70% approval rating) Governor Joe Manchin now trails in two recent national polls to the Republican challenger John Raese by 2 in the PPP poll and 3 in the latest Rasmussen poll. The RNC just announced a $1.8million statewide ad buy to run daily spots beginning in October through election day featuring DEMOCRAT Joe Manchin as a rubber stamp for President Obama. Raese, a self-made millionaire promised to spend from his own fortune as well. 04-cheers

Cap and Tax has much to do with it. Remember Obama said he wanted to kill "Big Coal"...

Coal country is heavily unionized and that used to work in dems favor, but now it's backfiring as the eco-tard influence is trumping the union influence with dems in WV.

Same thing is helping Rand Paul with eastern Kentucky coal miners.

Interesting that a year ago democrats saw the Bunning seat as a sure pickup, whether Bunning stood for re-election or quit. Bunning quit, republicans nominated a TEA Party candidate, and he's leading.
