RE: Why Is This Man So Mad?
I think Toledo played like a MAC team and Purdue like a Big Ten team.

Yikes! Yes, I agree-there is more to life than football (I think).

If Purdue plays like they did today, I think he will have many similar posts in the next few weeks.

Geez we hadn't seen defensive ends like Purdue's.01-lauramac2

I did see a number of pancakes by our OL. A world's improvement.

Hey! Ray Bush?

In one of those photos they show Ray Bush celebrating with Noble after a TD catch.

Nice to see the freshman getting some time already. I thought he was a real recruiting steal but Bush is playing offense?

RE: Why Is This Man So Mad?
Thanks for sharing. I can understand their frustration when you have school that large and that invested in football.

In the last comment posted at 8:25am, the poster says: "This never would happened under Joe Tiller."

Ummm...it did happen, Tiller's 9-3 team lost at Toledo 36-22 in 1997 and even played a young man by the name of Drew Brees who took half of the snaps. Isn't it fun to be the Rodney Dangerfield of FBS college football?!! From what I have read in the papers, we are now 3-3 vs. Purdue all time. That deserves some respect.

and as someone mentioned on another thread, credit to Purdue for scheduling us, giving us home games.

The Purdue - Toledo connection goes way back to (BG grad) legendary Toledo Waite coach Jack Mollenkopf (after whom the most beautiful stadium in the state is named) who as Purdue coach brought regular bashings to Notre Dame and had three Heisman runners up in a row. His win record was broken by Toledo Roger's grad Joe Tiller.

I saw a comment posted by a Card fan (Ball State) saying Toledo wasn't very good and they lost all of their good defensive players to graduation - and that from the worst defense in the country in 2009. That guy has quite a wake-up coming in several weeks.

I thought the most beautiful stadium in the state was named after somebody named Glass.

RE: Why Is This Man So Mad?
If that guy doesn't chill out a bit pretty soon he may be facing a coronary because I suspect it is going to be a long season for Purdue this year.

He is right however, that with a 2nd and 1 at the 3, PU should have scored--but that 2nd down tackle for a lost was a game changer---and that stop gave momentum back to UT just in the nick of time. Also, I suspect that the big 4th and 1 stop early in the game was probably on the PU coaches mind when he went with the FG rather go for it on 4th and 3.

What I really like is that this team is improving each week and so far the coaches have been able to get them ready to play each game (no coming out flat). Hopefully these trends both continue.

I think they were just trying to cover the spread. Oh wait, they were favored by like 2 TDs!
