Recruiting
IMO, EMU needs recuit fewer JUCOs. A JUCO recruit should be able to immediately plug a hole. So far RE has brough in about 10 JUCO recruits. Only 5 are still on the roster and only 1 of those is starting right now. 4 of the JUCO recruits never even suited up for a game at EMU.

I'm OK with the D1 transfers and prep school players, but lets stop the JUCO recruiting.

RE: Recruiting
Good point Nickel! JUCO's are unpredictable and you only have 2 years with them if you can get them in school.

Would hope that recruiting picks up soon, doesn't appear that we are doing too well!

Agree. Still no Grimes? CB Williams hasn't contributed. We would have been better off developing a freshman to contribute down the road than using scholarships on these guys.

RE: Recruiting
I agree Wooden 110%, JUCOs are brought in to fill immediate holes and really none of the ones I've seen have been signficant upgrades to what we already have talent wise. I offer as exhibit 1 the defensive line. And while English didn't start this trend the program can afford to not have 25-35% of each recruiting class not hitting the field.

RE: Recruiting
Agree the JUCOs haven't been big hits but there are some contributions being made such as Leonard, Paopao, Westerman, etc. but not enough.

I would have hoped that we'd have say 5 - 6 JUCO starters and we aren't there.

Academics apparently killed a few members of this class.

I'll all in favor of transfers from BCS programs. :)
