RE: MAC Power Rankings
I agree with you on the Ohio ranking but I still think the East is better than the West top to bottom.
You have Temple #1, Kent #3 in the East and CMU #2, Toledo #4 in the west. Then Ohio #5, WMU #6.

After tonight, that's about the same as saying Old Milwaukee is better than Boone's Farm.

Central Michigan lost to Temple
Eastern Michigan lost to Miami.
Ball State lost to FCS.

Akron also lost to FCS, Toledo beat Ohio, and BUGS is now 0-2 (like EMU and Akron). If you want to say Temple is the MAC's best team at 2-0, I can't argue. But the top-to-bottom comment seems excessive. Not to mention that with only three crossover games played so far, the data seems rather thin.

"Temple might be using a different QB before November"
Ummmm no. Maybe a few packages for R-Fr Chris Coyer, but Chester will be our QB, and thus far, he's done exactly what was asked of him. First fumble against CMU wasn't his fault; RB missed his blocking assignment and Chester got decked. Second one was definitely bad though. He's thrown zero INTs. Once he improves his touch passes, and figures out when to throw the ball away and eat a bad snap, we will be rolling.

He has *no* touch, he throws on a rope through coverage instead of over the coverage... Temple is winning despite him, not because of him..
His pocket presence is questionable, and he held the ball way too long on both fumbles against CMU...

RE: MAC Power Rankings
Despite him? Not at all. He's played basically mistake free football other than missing a WR like 2 or 3 times way down the field. I never said we're winning because of him, I said he's doing what we expected, which is to manage the game and not throw picks. I'm aware that the MAC is a QB league, but no one expects 300 yards and 4 TDs from him. That's not who he is. His pocket presence is fine. I'd worry about whatever scrubs Buffablow is throwing out there at QB, rather than Chester missing Michael Campbell 50 yards down the field.

RE: MAC Power Rankings
Our offensive line has got to get better. We keep getting in the redzone but coming up empty and it doesn't help that our kicking game is so shaky. We had over 500 yards of offense but only 23 points to show for it.

One more thing, i'm glad we didn't end up like one of the 8-10 FBS teams that have already lost to an FCS team this season.

Zero picks but hasn't he put the ball on the turf 3 or 4 times? Two in the last minutes almost leading to losses?

3, one of which was when he got blindsided thanks to missed assignments, so that wasn't his fault. I'm not worried about it being a constant thing with him. He's not going to put the ball on the turf every game. As I said, he's still learning the position.
