When I say barely beat, and yes I did see quite a bit of the game, I mean it because if MSU was really good they would have won by at least 4 TD's. MSU is okay, but they are not anymore than a mid-level Big Ten team this year. That's probably much better than any MAC school, but that isn't saying much.
What??
So does that mean Wisconsin is a mid-level Big Ten team because they beat a team just as bad by the same margin?
No, but MSU also struggled early with WMU in their opener and I don't like what I am seeing in the trenches on their team. You have to be very good in the trenches to be a top level Big Ten team.....I just don't see that from MSU.
It sounds like you have some inherent bias against MSU. No one else has seen what you have the first two weeks. You're REALLY getting nitpicky if you're trying to discount what MSU has done the first two weeks. I don't think they're a top 15 team, but to discount their 2-0 start because you don't think they were impressive enough against week teams is ridiculous. The result of both games were never in doubt.

I don't agree with that. Boo isn't a freshman, he should know not to throw the ball into coverage at this point. Either throw it away or take the sack.

You must be a MSU fan, and I apologize for offending you. I stand by what I said. I think MSU has an excellent chance to beat ND next week....it's at MSU. Then they play Northern Colorado. They could be the most overrated 4-0 team. But then they have to play some real teams.....home against Wisconsin and @ Michigan are going to be very tough. After playing Iowa and Penn State (at least they don't play Ohio State) they will be either 4-4 or 5-3 in the Big Ten. Even at 5-3, when you don't have to play the defending conference champions, that as an average Big Ten team.
Again, much better than a MAC team.....and the MAC as a whole is really bad this year.......but average Big Ten team.

OK, but do you agree or disagree that he got little protection and that there was a play in which every lineman got knocked over?

That was clearly a designed play where all the linemen fall over.
Oldest trick in the book to instill confidence in the defense before luring them into your trap and pouncing.

Yep. And if Dantin is out there for Toledo I could see him making the mistakes of throwing the ball in coverage to try to make a play. Heck, even the #1 QB recruit in the country (Pryor) a couple of years ago had this problem his freshman and sophomore years. But something I've noticed with Pryor as a junior this year he has finally learned to not force it. Now if Toledo still had Bruce Gradkowski as a junior or senior, I would not expect him to try to force anything either. It's the maturity flow of a college QB. If Boo doesn't have it now, he's never gonna have it.
