Why I Want Boise State To Go The Distance
Broncos fans...Good morning. Please allow to express how much I've enjoyed the tremendous run of success your football team's been having over the last 4 or 5 years or so, & your fantastic win over Virginia Tech in week one...What truly sickens me to the core about Division 1 college football is the obvious stench of corruption, politics, exclusivity, favortism and selective persecution by so-called sports writers, certain conferences, pollsters and other proponents & bastions of this crooked system in place known as the BCS.

They all appear to be conspiring against Boise State to prevent your school's football program from participating in their mythical national championship game should the Broncos be fortunate to finish the season unbeaten by any means necessary, & nothing would make me happier as a football fan to see your team do so, I totally depise the BCS, have no problem saying it, & looney tunes like Lou Holtz have all but made it clear that they feel that you don't belong where you are in their little backyard club rankings-wise, for the most asinine of reasons, it's not your fault that VT lost to James Madison at home the following week after you put that whippin' on them, if anything, perhaps they were still "punch drunk" after round one & simply didn't recover in time to play a winning game, that's not your fault! You did what you had to do and had BS lost the VT game, I can hear them now saying that you're unworthy of playing with "the big boys", but when you beat one of their favorites, they want to harp on your "soft" schedule...I remember when Ohio State once had Youngstown State, Kent State, Ohio U and Akron on their non-conference schedule, Ohio U had them beat had it not been for a muffed punt by an OU player that led to a narrow victory for them, OSU would lose a home game that year to unranked Illinois, and still get to play for their version of a national championship.

Unfortuntely, I reside in SEC territory, these people think they are God's gift to college football, especially in alabama, the sports media (& some of its' fans)here, especially in Birmingham, are as ignorant as they come when it comes to sports, their radio programs are redundant, boring and more times than not, an "alabama pep rally" (I'm referring to station WJOX-FM here in Birmingham, their knowledge of sports overall is pitiful, don't call them if you don't have a college football question, they're clueless in this regard, and if you're not an SEC bootlicker, prepare to be insulted), a constant stream of nauseating overdone praise and accolades for SEC football, alabama football and coach nick saban, they act as if they'd found a cure for cancer everytime they win a football game, and IMO, they've been the most critical of Boise State and their place in the standings thus far, you should hear some of the things I've heard these clowns say on the air, announcers and callers alike, I never knew stupidity & arrogance could be such a way of life, but this is alabama..

If you ask me, it's as much fear as it is ignorance that you will succeed in breaching their formula of exclusion, if it will screw over a program like Auburn as it did in 2004, you can expect it to take a run at Boise State, no matter what you guys do, you're not "glamourous" enough to them and the TV networks, they want you to fail, they want alabama & ohio state...A true national championship contest consists of every conference champion, placed a bracket and seeded, higher seed gets homefield, until the semis and the finals, to be played at a neutral site, and there is your true national champion, it's called a playoff (my observation of how postseason should be done) FCS <?> and other divisions do it, but these greedy crooks are drunk with power & refuse to acknowledge that their system is an insult to the intellgence of most who have followed college football, I want the Broncos to crash their little party and break a glass slipper off in their you-know-what...Then what are they gonna say then? I don't know who else you have to knock off to prove that you're one of the best, most exciting teams in this country, I know I've enjoyed watching the Broncos play at every given opportunity, you can't control what these idiots think and say about your school and its' football team, but I hope that Boise State makes them all eat their words at the end of this season...

Best wishes from the worst sports town in America...

Go Get Em', Broncos!!!!!
