I think WKU wins a hand full of games--four to five. WKU has some good players, just had some poor leadership. I'm expecting a win against Indiana...but then again, it won't be the first time I've heard "You're mad!" LOL

I'm hoping MTSU eats Minnesota's lunch--I know in some Hilltopper circles, anything supporting MTSU is heresy and makes one subject to a burning at the stake--but there it is! LOL

So you're predicting a loss to Bowling Green, where we're currently a 14 point favorite, in our home opener, which we've never lost under Blakeney, this Saturday? 01-scout

I think Troy can get to 9-3, but most likely it will be with a 7-1 Conference record. 8-0 is tough to do.

They only beat us 31-13 two years ago. That was in Bloomington, this is in Bowling Green.

This is a masterfully crafted trap game for Indiana.

We will have played two opponents that are both tougher than Indiana and will almost certainly be 0-2 riding a 22 game losing streak.

They will have played only one game and against a FCS at that.

They will say all the right things. We are not looking past anybody. We take every opponent seriously, blah, blah, blah. But in thier heart of hearts will they really believe that an 0-22 team at the bottom of the Sunbelt is really any better than Towson?

I think that in spite of thier best efforts they will come in here overconfident and a little lax. We on the other hand will be hungrier than any WKU football team ever, and in front of what will likely be our first sell out since the expansion of the stadium, we could well play above our ability. And we will be better this year than the last two.

And if that happens, this will be a dogfight. And WKU can win.

I could see that, but keep in mind Troy is 19-0 in home openers and 4th in the country in home field advantage in general, since 2001. BGSU loses more than we do, as well as their record setting quarterback and 155 catch (2009) receiver freddie barnes.

RE: Predicting the Belt
I agree with the 9-3 season for Troy, but I don't see us losing the home opener either. More likely for us to lose a conference game along the way. Also, I hoping for more non-conference wins than predicted. Unless I counted wrong, you have the belt winning a total of 6 non-con games. That would truly be a horrible year for us.
