The Big East doesn't want Memphis, and CUSA doesn't want Loser Tech.
If they did, they'd already have gotten them.

The MWC commissioner has tried so hard over the years to become an AQ conference. Without Utah and BYU, that dream is dead once and for all. He knows it. But he still wants to have an automatic spot in the BCS bowl games. Propose a championship with the next best conference with the champion getting in automatically. I don't think this will fly with the BCS cartel. They will probably politely laugh in his face. But I think the idea is pretty smart.... just won't work.

It was a stealth move. Memphis received a secret invite and accepted on the condition no one knows about it and you don't actually play any games in the conference.

Does the WAC go basketball only and invite FCS schools (like montana and montana state)? I wonder how Loseranna Tech likes sticking to the SBC now?
