5 Hottest Cities this Year
some of you may not be surprised to see this, but Memphis has been the 2nd hottest city in the US this summer...youre probably noticing this in your wallet more than anything with larger utilitiy bills...

So the hottest city isn't the one that had the highest average tempature? It was the one that had the most days above normal highs. I suppose calling it "US cities with the most days above normal" wouldn't have gotten as much interest.

I've been outside alot for work and can attest to the heat this summer. This is the worst I can remember since 1999 or 2000. I can't remember which one we only got about 3 rain events

Yeah, the title is misleading. 05-nono More days above normal does not mean hottest. I can't stand misleading logic. Argh! Rabble rabble! 03-razz

What they count on is people that see the headline and don't read the story. It works.

The more clicks you get on any article, the more $$$ you make and more traffic on the website for the advertisers. Does not every website, blog or paper want a big punchline anyway?

For the reason that it happened, I have no problem that we finished 2nd to Louisville because of the above average normal temperature for this time of year.

I am in Maumelle, a suburb of the Rock for those unaware. Yesterday was the first day since the Memorial Day weekend that we were under 90 degrees. I believe it was 14 of those days over 100.

I say I'm in LR, but its actually Benton...I just say LR since most Tiger fans won't know where Benton is, but they know where LR is...
