Here's what will really chap ya. The following season they've got UT-C scheduled. Dooley actually said his preference is if they play an FCS school, to play an instate one.

RE: Georgia State
I'm sure it's really exciting for UT fans to get to see Ga State and UTC and Buffalo..probably sells a lot of season tickets in Knoxville because they know these teams are offered up for $$$$ so the Vols have sure wins by 50 or 60 or whatever they want...but Florida State fans are excited about having Oklahoma come into their place this week.... The TV audience will be national and huge.. what's wrong with having some big time teams come in for non conference games.. some fans actually want their school to schedule some of those kind of games. and UT should be able to attract some of the big boys with 100,000 plus seats.. They bought out UNC so they could play Buffalo???????????????

RE: Georgia State
They bought out UNC to log a win and ensure they were bowl eligible. Tennessee hasn't been very good lately in case you haven't been watching.
Tennessee has been scheduling big opponents. Oregon last year, recent home and home's with UCLA, Cal, Notre Dame, and oh by the way, they play in the toughest conference in the nation. They don't need to schedule OU (though they're tentatively scheduled a home and home later in the decade), they get Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina every year and rotates in LSU, Arkansas and Auburn.
I don't blame the Mocs for doing it. The game benefits both schools. UTK should get a win (though the last time they played Chattanooga won), and UT-C gets paid.

Lastly, Tennessee has home and homes coming up with OU, Nebraska, and I think UCLA again pretty soon. They open up with NC State in Atlanta next year to go with the nobodies they play during conference play. #smh
