Most definitely.

Why does the steroid issue upset so many baseball fans, but many of those same folks could care less about records in the NFL that may have been assisted with the same?

People view baseball records differently. Plus when you're batting it's 1v1 so steroids have a very obvious effect on the outcome. In football steroids never play an apparent advantage like they do in baseball so it can easily go unnoticed. That's what I think anyway.

30 mil in bonuses. Not bad. The guy is hurting for money.
I am sorry but a person hitting 600 home runs in a careeer is not so special anymore since it has happened so much more in the last 15 years. Do you hear a lot of buzz about baseball since PED's have been revealed in the last 10 years?

It's not about the steroids for me. It's the fact that Barry Bonds was a classless ass clown

being a classless *** has nothing to do with your ability to play baseball...the thing about Barry is he walked on the field and believed he was the best baseball player on the diamond. If you didnt believe him he probably thought you were an idiot. I could care less about how Barry Bonds wasn't a nice guy. He was a great baseball player and he knew it. He had all 5 tools. And he used them. He also had a 6th tool, which was his brain. He was smart enough to know his swing and critique it. There wasn't any pitch you could throw(remotely close to the plate) that he couldn't hit out of the park. Why? Because he understood the baseball swing and its mechanics.

The sad thing is that even without PED's Barry Bonds was still going to be a Baseball Hall of Famer in Cooperstown, New York. Out of all the players who did supposedly take those substances, he had a HOF career before taking those substances. I do not know if he could have hit 600 home runs w/o talking PED's by the way. Sammy Sosa would not have hit 600 home runs w/o PED's in the end. The are two careers for Barry Bonds: one before he took Performance Enhancing Drugs and the one after he took PED's.

It could be also the football has had a drug testing policy for around 20 years as well and professional football is not a big record sports, unlike pro baseball. MLB hid in the sand for PED's for long after it was concluded something was different for the players, and they were not taking a one a day vitamin supplement.

finally! after 50 plate app's and an 0 for 17 slump, he hits one into Monument Park. All that changing out the game balls for marked ones, and he hits into an area where no fans are at.

I saw Jim Thome is an active player and at the moment the next player closest to 600 home runs per MLB.com, but does he still play for the White Sox? Besides Pujols who is around 205 home runs away, which player is close not including Ryan Howard?

Will Manny be playing even next year with the Dodgers in La-LA Land? With his penchant to play when he feels like it, I know he has talent to do it, but will he have the desire to play next year?
