ESPN trying to get more EPL match rights
According to EPL Talk, Fox Sports International and ESPN are in negotiations on a sublicense deal that would net ESPN more games through 2013. They are also talking about a deal that would put some games on ESPN3.com (Fox Sports holds the stream rights in the US). While most have assummed that ESPN will show games again, no deal has been reached yet.

Sweetness! More soccer is good, although I'm not yet willing to see Stuart Scott, Berman, et al ruin the sport on the SportsCenter highlight reel.

What I do like is that soccer plays are ending up on the plays of the day on ESPN.

Agreed, that's nice to see.

They won't be involved. They had a good team in there for commentary last year, no lalas.

I watched a lot of the games last year. ESPN did well with it.

My comment was meant more towards soccer becoming mainstream here.

I actually liked ESPN's commentary better than Sky's. While I love Harry Redknapp, his son is a baffoon.
