Goal Line Technology tabled again
Goalline technology left off IFAB agenda - FourFourTwo

To me, goal line technology just to look at whether goals were scored or not is kind of useless - I think it's fairly rare that this is a problem. If the alternatives are extra referees or goal line technology, I'd take the extra referees, but what I'd favor is using reviews for goals and violations immediately preceding scored or disallowed goals. It has been pointed out that there are problems with how that's written into the rules, but I think it could be done reasonably.

It's very simple, Blatter is just too stubborn to realize it. Stuff like the non goal at England vs Germany would never happen again

Sepp Blatter won’t introduce the goal line technology until his extended family members buy the companies involved. We know this will be an above tender transaction.

That only seems to happen in Germany v England games, once every 40 years. To me, it's not much of a concern if that is the only thing you are going to fix. If you're going to try to address offsides calls, etc. down in the box, then it becomes more worthwhile because there are more incidents that you could catch.

Can anyone else recall a made goal in professional soccer that was not called because it was close to the line? Exactly how often do you think this occurs?

why do you need technology? just put an official in the press box with a tv monitor. if a horrible error is made, buzz down to the field ref and make the correction. make only scoring or offsides in the box errors correctable, not field decisions on fouls.

its not that damn hard.

its not that @#!*% hard.

That is technology. It's an option that can be used in professional games but not at lower levels.
