RE: Lebron to the ?????
Assuming Beasley is traded and the bench is filled with minimum contract players

PG- Mario Chalmers / Min. Contract
SG - Dwyane Wade / Min. Contract
SF - LeBron James / Da'Sean Butler
PF - Chris Bosh / Jarvis Varnado
C - Dexter Pittman / Min. Contract

Wade/James/Bosh looks unbeatable at first glance but when you really think about it, I think that team still has some glaring issues. The PG in the system has to be able to knock down open 3s and Chalmers used up his 3 point magic in the title game. He only shot 31% last year. Pittman, if he is indeed the starter, is gonna have to be solid or they are going to get ABUSED down low and the trio won't matter. Teams will slow the pace down and work the ball inside. The bench. We saw how that worked out for the Grizzlies last year. It doesn't matter how good your starters are. The Grizz routinely built 10-15 point leads, sometimes larger, and by the time the starters came back in the lead was erased.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
ESPN says almost definitely Miami, unless he has a last-minute change of heart. Seemed fairly predictable, once Wade and Bosh both anounced to Miami.

If LBJ doesn't pick Miami, then all that stuff about wanting to win, above all else, is just so much garbage.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
If he goes to Miami, he will always have 1 less trophy than Wade.

That's selfless and shows he just wants to win.

But, down the road, people will hypocritically turn on him and diminish his legacy with that observation. Predictable given the state of media, coverage, and fandom.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
^^^ I agree, i had this same debate with a college buddy of mine about how he felt Lebron's legacy will be tarnished since he has to team up with Wade and Bosh now. IMHO, u need atleast three proven stars in the league to contend these days, its not the same nba when jordan, magic, bird etc played. Sometimes you gotta adapt to the trends and times.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
I heard something on the radio this morning that was the dumbest thing I think I have ever heard.

This local Cleveland sports guy was on Mike and Mike this morning and said that a sign Lebron was leaving Cleveland was the fact that he shot a free throw left handed in last years playoffs.

It has...twice. While a great cause, it still is annoying that ESPN caters to Queen James' megalomania by inserting a 3 hour Sportscenter followed by Lebron's very own special announcement show. If he wanted his own special time to pick a hat and let everyone around him stroke his- er- ego, then he should have just gone to college for a year and gotten a special on ESPNU. He is almost worse than Edy Williams.

It is annoying and I think that the boys and girls club is being used to veil this attention grab as a charitable act.

exactly. He could just as easily give the money to charity anyway. Why the spectacle unless he just wants the attention?

Because FL does not have a state income tax, James might be able to take a lower contract amount for the Heat than for a team in NY (for example) without harm to his net salary.
