The present incarnation of D-Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James with the announcers calling the new players "The Three Kings of Miami" just makes me physically ill. I have much respect for Wade and Bosh, but I zero respect after what LeBron did in the last two weeks. I understand this is his right in free agency, but why did he make this into a three ring circus? Does he not have respect for NBA fans?

This special just made me throw up in my mouth. I hope these guys never win a ring.
I cannot root for any team LeBron James will play for the rest of his career after this mockery or sham called LeBron free agency period. I like his basketball game and understand his need to win championships, but enough is enough.

Lebron actually looked the most awkward of the trio. And it was awkward. I never thought I'd be a Kobe/Lakers fan, but I am now. This #### sucks - reminds me of the Yankees, but in the NBA.

This travelling circus will sellout across the NBA though. I think when Gilbert publically called LBJ out early during the Celtic series, it was the death knell. I also think that's why LBJ and his 'team' did what they did last night on national TV. I feel bad for the fans of Cleveland. Not the owner. He's a d-bag.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
I wonder what lebron thinks about espn's new poll question on their main page. When asked "whom would you want to take the game winning shot? d wade or lebron?"

Right now, 73% of the country says d wade. Interesting to me, the state of florida currently has 81% saying d wade.

The owner acts to me too much like a fan and does not realize in business you must make a calm, rational response even when you in the end figuratively get your heart ripped out. This is wrong response for future free agents to come to Cleveland. I think it is time for owner to sell his team for a profit and let someone else control the team and attempt to sign new free agents. He will be radioactive to future free agents.

That is something I'm struggling with. I think in a way it was brilliant marketing. Fans will come out and rally behind them, even while losing. But, I've heard that it has incensed agents and players, because of its apparent capriciousness. That would affect their ability to lure free agents, and achieve their goal of beating Lebron to a championship. Cutting one's nose to spite their face.

I think it would've been better if he wrote a terse, disappointed letter, and had someone else in the organization leak "their own" rant, he comes out and softly rebukes that guy while agreeing with many parts of it. That would maintain relationships with players and keep fans coming.

PR wise, Gilbert has come out even worse than Lebron. Except in Cleveland.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
I think LeBron is an egomaniac who thinks more of himself than what he has accomplished to date. I think he went about this all the wrong way, as far as PR goes. I don't think he gives a damn about Cleveland or its fans.

I remember him wearing a Yankees hat during the playoffs. That proves he either doesn't give a damn, or he is totally insensitive. I think his mother comes across as laughable at best, and someone to be pitied.

But having said all that, what the hell is wrong with going to Miami as a free agent with Wade and Bosh? He has every right to do it. So he screwed up the PR. Wah, wah, wah...03-hissyfit Turns out, the one-hour TV special was actually Jim Gray's idea, and perpetrated by ESPN, and LeBron went along for the charity part.

I remember Kobe screwing up his PR when he nailed the chick at the resort in Colorado where he was staying, and somehow wiggling his way out of rape charges, and saving his marriage with a $4M ring.

I remember Jordan wading through years of groupies while he professed his love to his wife Juanita and the kids, whom he wound up giving half his estate to.

I remember Magic being all goody goody, and then retiring suddenly, b/c he was sleeping with six chicks at a time, and caught the AIDS virus.

Isiah Thomas is complete Looney Tunes. So is Allen Iverson.

And then there is Tiger Woods...'nuff said...

My point is: What the hell is so bad about what LeBron did compared to these other superstars, that deserves this complete beatdown? Seems way out of proportion to me.

Beyond that, NOBODY has won an NBA ring alone. Nobody. And I've been watching the NBA a LONG time. I remember watching Dolph Schayes play for the Syracuse Nationals.

LeBron is a great player, but not the best of all time. Never will be. But he's entertaining, and one of the 2-3 best right now. He wants to win rings. What's the problem? And I don't even like the guy. I just think you have to use the same measuring stick for everyone.

Their is no good way to handle a parting of the ways of a free agent, which is what LeBron James was. Cleveland was not going to be happy no matter which way he was to leave. I do not care regarding the personal life of an adult, but because so many sports fans are concerned about their life and want to sell an image, we see now so much more than 20-30 years ago. Money changes everything in the end.

RE: Lebron to the ?????
TripleA, how are you getting caught up on this? If Lebron had gone to Chicago, he would have been a hero. He would have gotten those rings that he wants, you know, 6, the reason he changed his number. He chose to go to Miami and will try to lure CP3 there as well, that makes him hated. People like the underdog, the Fakers just went from hated to I hope Kobe can still kick their azzes. There's no way that Miami wins a title next year and that's a jamammy guarantee. Mark it down. Now, when they all three walk off the court without shaking hands or shoot freethrows grannystyle because their wittle feelings got hurt, will you still defend them then?

RE: Lebron to the ?????
from what I understand Lebron, Bosh, and Wade are all very good friends. If I had a chance to dominate the NBA with 2 of my best friends you can bet the farm that I'd be in Miami with bells on.
