Top 10
It was a surprise to me that the smallest Div 1 school, us, were in the Top 10 in spending on both football and basketball for non BCS schools. I guess as far as CUSA goes we don't have to listen to any talk about us not spending enough on the major sports. It was interesting that Rice, the next smallest school, was also in there. It actually appears most of the privates are spending more money than the public schools. I definitely don't think we are getting our monies worth in basketball.......but then again, I wouldn't think we were if we only spent $100.

RE: Top 10
I saw a post on the C-USA main board about UCF hiring a firm to help promote their team within orlando. I didnt click on it because it wasnt started by UCF fan so im sure there was alot of turd throwing going on, however I kind of wsh we would spend some of that money in a direction of that nature.

I totally agree......I would love to see them promote Tulsa to the younger generation, including grade school kids. Everyone knows, get them while they are young and you'll have them forever. Most the time The Tulsa World gives Tulsa minimum publicity. Go to the schools, do something to get the younger kids interested. Sponsor a youth football league and let them play in Skelly Stadium......same in Basketball.......and have players help coach them. There are a lot of ways, just need some one thinking up some ideas.
