30 for 30
The Two Escobars are taking about the murder and death of Colombian defender Andres Escobar by Colombian hitman controlled by the former noted drug kingpin Pablo Escobar comes on tonight at 8pm on ESPN. I have heard from several people that this is an amazing show to watch. This is a great story to watch in light of the present World Cup in South Africa.

I'll record this one as well. This series has been great so far. I think I'll get the set when they're done.

I watched the first hour and I'm recording the second hour. It is a very good show. It does paint Pablo Escobar as somewhat of a modern day Robin Hood and evidently he did do a lot to help poor people in his country. Of course, the ends don't justify the means and he caused a lot more harm overall, than good. Essentially, in the lates 80s and early 90s, drug lords were very involved with many teams and players from Mexico thru South America.

Right

He took down an entire plane flight that killed hundreds of people. There is nothing "Robin Hood" about him. That being said, I still really want to see this episode. The last one was awesome.

The one thing that it did explain was how the Colombian soccer rise to power as a national team and as a club team funded by the drug kingpin throughout that country. It also did explain why Andres Escobar did get killed in the end in Medellin, Colombia. I cannot believe that 14 out of 18 teams in the Colombian teams in their league are almost bankrupt as well.

I can, this latest recession has killed all the S. American teams. Argentina had to push back their season because it didn't know which teams were solvent.
