Don't know how longs it's been since you've been back in town but Colonial Rubber has been bought out, split into two companies, one has all but shut down and the other is right behind it, Bekaert has left town and the building burned halfway down, World Color has been bought out and is supposed to shut the doors in January, Catepillar is shutting down it's factory soon, Thomas Lighting was bought out by GE and shut down, the cotton mill shut it's doors a few years ago, and it burned down 2 years ago to the ground, massive fire. All in all Dyersburg has lost 4500 great paying jobs in the last 10 years. It's becoming a dying town with nothing but low paying Dollar Store jobs, high drugs/crime, and rampant poverty. The Burg was really growing in the 90's and things were looking good for Dyersburg to become a boom town just like Jackson, TN as a regional hub, but it's crashing and burning. It's really sad.

I still have folks up there. It is definitely a different town than what I recalled. I think I need to comeback, get with cash$ and reform the whole dang town. One thing I will say about Dyersburg/Dyer County and surrounding areas. Basketball. Everywhere you look. People are shooting hoops.

thats sad to hear. I grew up in Dyersburgh w/my grandparents when my mother died. Whats weird is, my grandparents in Dyersburgh are buried in Memphis, while my parents in Memphis are buried in Fairview Cemetary in Dyersburgh.
I miss the old school bus that sat on the on the side of the road for what 15-20 plus years?

LS didn't do anything ALL YEAR. The only reason he wasnt the 'focus of the offense' is b/c he is very raw and lacks some basic fundamentals and has a shoot first attitude. There is NO comparison with BR and Tyreke. EW was doin fine until defenses figured out about his dribbling problem. The only D folks had to play on BR was stay in front of him, to which he would consistently jack up bad shots. 22 % from a college 3 is really gonna take you far in the NBA.....

Lance is better than Elliot. Stronger frame. Which one gives first Elliot's knee or Lance's brain? IDK. If neither one of them came we would have picked some Juco guard and still won 20+. Sallie would have been holding it down. We never needed Elliot or Lance just another ball handler. Elliot was a ballhog.

I wanna add to that, that he wasn't the focus of the team's offense. From day one Elliot was given control of the Tigers. Lance will be a better pro than Elliot. I don't think he's a Tyreke as has been suggested in the past. Tyreke will be a superstar big name. Lance will be an allstar a time or three. Alot of people on this board said Tyreke was not ready for the NBA while I was on another board tellin people he was a top five pick. Lance will go before Elliot. I will put a jamammy guarantee on it. I guarantee that Born Ready will go before Elliot, if I am wrong then go ahead and ban interminator.

Tyreke was a consensus top 5 pick who everyone thought was ready for the NBA. IF there was a board that you were on that thought otherwise, then it wasn't a board from this planet. It certainly wasn't this board.
