Campbell football & former Buc QB
Campbell Camels, proud A-Sun member school (for now) will open their 2010 football season against UVA - Wise. I like it better when they called themselves Clinch Valley College. They also play Georgia State in their first varsity season under Bill Curry.

Also former Buc quarterback Jamie Chadwell is now the head coach at North Greenville College. I believe Chadwell was recuited by Caven but played mostly for P. Hamilton. NGC is moving to D-2 status.
Good luck Chadwell.

There are a large number of former Bucs out there coaching football and impacting the lives of young men. Several of those include members from the last years of Buc Football. Funny how a team that "wasn't any good" had so many players go on into coaching.

Looking forward to golf and BBQ with the Buc Football and Friends this weekend.

The demise of ETSU football has to be attributed first to ETSU executives who pulled the plug...and secondly to lousy fan support. Funny...the lousy fan support is similar to many a college football program that is still playing... i.e.-Chattanooga.

It's also funny that the dome was built to accommodate fair weather ETSU football fans. What happened?...those fair weather fans didn't come because they didn't like indoor football. I say give me a break. They didn't come because they are fair weather fans.

The fair weather fans didn't come because ETSU didn't' win enough. The Bucs get into the national championship quarterfinals and those fans didn't come because ..... ETSU didn't promote it correctly....that's it.

North Greenville just signed an agreement to play the SAC conference teams in football next season--Carson-Newman, Tusculum, Mars Hill, etc. It gives these teams another area DII opponent. The games will not count in league standings however.

UT-C had vision to keep it going, and if you noticed this year, they had improving crowds with Huesman and Co. Western Carolina would be a better example here. They need to strong arm Big Chief and get some of those Sizzlin 7 progressive dollars they've been taking from all the blue hairs and degenerates and dump some of it into Catamount football.
