Florida left their home state and beat Cincinnati by about 50 points.
Look, there's no use denying it - the SEC is a cocky bunch of redneck SOBs but when you have a 14-5 BCS record, including 6-0 in national title games, and you've won 4 straight national titles, well, you've earned the right to be cocky.

The rest of us have to figure out a way to knock the smirk off their face, which can only happen on the field. And it can't happen in places like the Papa Pizza Bowl either.

When I say leave your home state, I mean go West to CA or NE to PA or CT. I am not talking about game in the next state within driving distance in SEC country.

If I recall, FLA hasn't left state of Fla for OOC for like 10 years or something.
Why should they? Florida state is better than most Big East teams. The SEC has nothing to prove to the Big EAST.

No one said a thing about proving anything to the Big East. This is just about fans that actually see the bias day in and day out. To the casual fans that are easily influenced by the media, I am sure they think SEC is the NFL south that are way better than rest of the college football. This is simply not true. SEC teams play weak a** OOC to pad their records. When they lose to each other, it is because SEC is so deep and "fast". Lee Corso with that SEC speed rant is still alive and well every season.

SEC got couple of tough teams, but rest of the conference is no better than anyone else.

How many BCS teams does a SEC team have to play each season in it OOC schedules? Every team plays 1. That gives each team 9 BCS games. And thats not including the 2 teams that reach the championship game.

Given that Uconn has scheduled some good OOC games, like going to Notre Dame last year, i can see how you might feel that way.

But the SEC has done some good OOC things too. For one thing, 3 SEC teams always play a BCS OOC opponent:

SC always plays Clemson
Georgia always plays G-Tech
UF always plays FSU

Those aren't just 3 ACC teams, they are 3 of the usually *better* ACC teams, and they are rivarly games so there's added danger. They are also home and home so no advantage to the SEC.

And the SEC/ACC have established that opening weekend game in the Georgia Dome (e.g.., last year it was Clemson v. Alabama, this year LSU v. North Carolina).

Plus, thanks to its old SWC ties, Arkansas usually plays a Texas school (this year it's Texas AM).

Tennessee has played a Pac-10 school the last few years (this year it's Oregon).

Georgia is playing at Colorado this year.

And now Alabama and Penn State are playing home/home in 10/11, and LSU and WVU are doing the same.

Look, every major team plays MOSTLY patsies for their OOC games. Everyone plays the directional universities, etc. But it looks like the SEC is doing at least as much as most of the other BCS conferences as far as BCS-OOC games are concerned.

r u for real dude.

cinci lost their head coach had a serious lapse in confidence, that is why they got beat bad, if they had a steaDY situation and if nd didn't fluck it up it would have been a much better game, loosing a head coach is huge, whats wrong w/ you

uconn destroyed a good s carolina team who beat up clemson and the sec refs cheat too......

I hate to bust your bubble, Stookey. But even if Kelly had remained in Cincinnati, the Bearcats would have lost that game by about the same margin. Last year's Gators were really good, even though I do dislike admitting it...

Not to mention the Gators went through an arguably even weirder coaching drama than Cincy during that same time leading up to the game.

At least WVU proved in 07 that you could lose your coach before the big bowl game and still kick a*s anyway.
