Both have NIU listed among their favorites. They'd certainly be the biggest pair of DT's in the conference if they came to DeKalb. The only instate DT listing NIU in his fav's weighs only 255.

Could this be an example of scheduling helping lure some recurits too? I would think that would be a big appeal for them to see the local Jayhawks on the schedule for NIU. I should say "tentatively scheduled".

I don't believe that is tentative. Kansas is coming to Huskie stadium.

At least until Kansas demands more coin and the game gets moved to SF.

Playing and beating Kansas twice would help NIU get talent out of Kansas and the metro KC region. Strategic scheduling move on the AD"s part or whoever got it done.

Yep, any major school coming to Huskie stadium is tentative.

Kansas and Niu would only draw about 40 thousand at soldiersfield. This game will not be played in chicago.

I believe you could add ND, Ohio State and Michigan to the list of teams to play at SF.

A few more hypothetically that will likely never happen that could fill up Soldier Field:

1) Nebraska
2) USC
3) Florida
4) Tennesee
5) Texas
6) Penn State
7) Georgia
8) Alabama (looking for that return game)

Most of those teams most seasons would be suicidal for NIU in SF.

Yea I know Huskies went toe to toe vrs subpar UT and Bama teams.

How often is that likely to happen - once every ten-fifteen years?

NIU excels at scheduling games vs biggies when they are on the upswing and rarely on down cycle.

Would be good of Michigan or Ohio St to give the Huskies a return game in Soldier Field although we know it won't happen.

Huskies gave Michigan a contest also. I believe it's a draw to potential recruits for the Huskies to play as many big name BCS programs as possible. Any recruit looking at NIU's schedule this year has to be impressed with 2 B10 and 1 B12 team. Winning those games would be an even bigger eye opener. 04-jawdrop
