Quote:NBC will cover Game 1 of the San Jose Sharks-Chicago Blackhawks Western Conference finals matchup in San Jose on Sunday, May 16 at 3 p.m. ET.

This should be a fantastic series as both teams are loaded with offensive and defensive talent. Personally, I can't wait to see how this one pans out since both clubs bring so much to the table.

Expect a Live Game Chat and all the other fun, special stuff we love to throw at you during NBC coverage. We hope to see you at the chat and can't wait for all the conference finals fun.

Jeez, the first game isn't until Sunday? That's ridiculous.

If you must blame someone, blame the Flyers. If they would have just lost to the Bruins last night, the 1st game would have been on Friday because there's a concert at the HP Pavilion on Saturday night.

By the way, has anyone ever heard of Chayanne (the guy that's performing in San Jose on Saturday night?)

Atleast the NHL didn't adopt the new NBA playoff policy of taking 2-3 days off between every game, travel or not. Cleveland and Boston had 4 days off between game 2 and game 3 I believe. That is ridiculous and a reason why I have a strong dislike for the NBA

I try and force myself to watch the NBA now and just cannot get into it. I know exactly why too, the players just do not seem to care about winning and it just downgrades the whole experience. NBA is much more about individual performances and entertainment than it is about winning championships, a big turn off for me.

RE: Hawks @ Sharks
The extra couple of days off will benefit the Hawks. The Sharks have been off since Saturday. If game one were played tomorrow, SJ would have enjoyed an edge from a rest standpoint. With the couple of extra days for the Hawks to rest, that advantage is negated.

Watching Game 3 so far, Hawks fans have not showed up. The Fri night regular season games had more energy from the crowd than tonight. I think its a case of deeper playoffs = more expensive ticket = richer fans attending = sitting on hands. Its the Western Conference Finals people!!!

Ill trade you my North Dakota ticket for NIU this fall for your Game 7 ticket. That is fair because Im taking a risk that Game 7 might not be played.

This seems too easy. I have hopelessly following the Cubs my entire life. I start following the Hawks and they are one game away from playing for the Stanley Cup.
