OK, You believe what you are told. Or you could look at my sig and believe your own eyes.

Nah, never happen...

A bow is a bow, you cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Look at the difference between the bows in question. The new one is basically a head nod and is no different than what's done between chinese people.

Yeah, I'm thinking no. What makes you think, out of ALLLL the times he's done it, this one would be different? Hell, seems the only leaders he doesn't bow to are white leaders. Then again, I always knew he had a problem with whitey.

That has to be the most ignorant comment you have posted in a while. First, he was talking about the bowing TECHNIQUE not whether it was right or wrong(I still am confused as to why a traditional greeting from another country is making Obama look less powerful). Second, of course he isn't going to bow to white leaders. That typically isn't a traditional way to greet them. Now get your white robe and get to the cross burning. You don't want to be late for the festivities.

You're seriously arguing about the degree to which he bowed? 01-wingedeagle

Because he wasn't born in another country, he was born in this one. Right? The bow never changes with the one he's demonstrating subservience to. The subservient party is the one that never changes.

Bush wasn't born in Saudi Arabia, yet he was holding hands with their leader(it is a tradition). What is your point?

That's considered a sign of mutual respect and friendship in the Middle East. A fuken bow is considered subservience. Ever see a foreign leader bow down to the Kenyan?

If Barry were on his knees blowing another leader, I suspect Robert would be OK with it.

I swear you have to spoon-feed this stuff to him, and even then he still doesn't get it.

Well, when Obama becomes a Chinaman then it will be OK, until then, he represents me, you and all of America and we don't bow to anyone.

Has anyone seen the Queen of England bow? Castro? Putin? Chavez? That gargoyle in N Korea? When one person bows to another can you guess who the person bowing thinks is in charge.

Bending at the waist with your eyes looking towards the floor are the signs of a subject greeting his superior. Meanwhile, when he addresses us peons, his chin is held high. It's US he should be bowing and apologizing to.

It's only a sign of mutual respect when done, well, mutually. You guys see the Chinese guy doing it? No.

I should know. I learned this from fighting in tournaments and sparring for over 10 years as a student of Isshin Ryu.
