All I can say is, Wow!
I know this has been in the news for at least a day, but I saw this before it started to hit CNN. Looking at the whole string of questions coming forth, I'm just stunned at the point - capsized island? And then bringing up global warming?

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washingt...guam-.html

This guy makes Jimmy Fallon as an interviewer/questioner seem like Tim Russert.

So, can anyone in Congress, on either side of the aisle, come up with a line of questioning this year that will make this seem logical/sane by comparison? (And I'm disqualifying Clarence Thomas from this competition - both because he's not in Congress and because he apparently rarely asks questions during public arguments at the Supreme Court.)

Actually, I'll open this up to journalists, too, now that I think of it. There are some strange ones out there, too.

Isn't that what happened to Atlantis? Big toga party on one side of the island & the whole thing tipped over?

And I'll go out on a limb and predict that we have yet to plumb the depths of inanities for the year (though he does set the bar rather high).

That is the truly scary thing. And it is true.

Yep. But then, and overripe tomato would have been as well.

It's bizarre to watch the video. The Admiral does quite admirably to not lose his **** in the face of the question.

Hank is the Congressman for the District next to mine. He is a HUGE improvement over Cynthia but sadly the only way he beat her in the 4th Congressional District Democrat Primary in 2006 is because of a large Republican cross-over vote against McKinney.

This is a "safe" Democrat seat. Jason Voorhees could get elected to Congress for this District as long as delivered the handouts, pork, and perks to a select few.

As for Hank, lets say he has "alcohol issues" as well as health issues. He won't be in office much longer.

That is depressing. It is truly depressing to me that a man of that level of intelligence is representing people in Congress. That is just sad.

If the bombing when the Japanese took the island in WW2 did not sink, why should a large number of people.

My district has its own nut Congressman, Ron Paul. Wish I was in Pete Olsen's district instead.
