Tax Act

If I didn't do it myself, it would probably have been in the area of $500 to do.

RE: Do you prepare your own Federal Tax Return?
Having a "tax guy" is the best freakin investment I've every made in my life. Two hours of my life and $230 bucks to prepare state and federal.

That right there is Effeciency with a capital E, considering how much time it would take me to figure out everything.

Don't try to tell me I can do it myself. I know that. I am saying that 2 hrs and $230 is a pretty good ROI in my life.

My buddy that works for a CPA firm did it for me for free*

*I bought him a bottle of Woodford Reserve bourbon and a cigar as a thank you, so I guess the actual cost would be about $40

I used to pay around $350 10 years ago or so, but that's largely after I screwed it up badly doing it myself. If I ever work as self-employed again, I'd pay that in a heartbeat.
