The so called Mid Majors have been beating the BCS conference teams more this year than ever before. UNI, Butler, St Mary's, Xavier and Cornell all in the Sweet 16. COllectively these teams have beaten Kansas, Minnesota, Pittsburgh,Villanova and Wisconsin! Can't wait for the Cornell/uk game. With Cornell playing only 45 miles from home and red hot from 3 pt range, another giant killing is at hand!

As much as I'm not a fan of UNI I loved seeing them win and will continue rooting for them as long as they're still playing. I'd told everyone I knew that they'd give KU a game and they proved me right.

Getting a non-power conference team into the Final Four just four years after GMU would be a huge statement for the sport, even if it is to the chagrin of the "big 6" and their fans.
I think UNI and St. Mary's may be in good position to pull it off.
