EMU expecting a big crowd tonight
Even though it is spring break, the EMU online ticket ordering website is showing very limited lower bowl seats available in the lower arena.

It appears that most of the available seats are in the corners with probably less then 100 seats available endline to endline.

If this is what it appears then a crowd of say 4,000 (I believe the lower bowl seats 4K and the upper bowl almost 5K) seems virtually assured (I'd guess that say 3,500 seats are shown as not available for purchase on the website as of now).

The Convo will rock tonight. 04-cheers

http://www.emutix.com is the online ticket site.

Indeed.

Matter of fact, if school had been in session this week, the UT/EMU WOMEN's game might have outdrew most of the men's games.

RE: EMU expecting a big crowd tonight
It was the largest and most supportive crowd I've seen at a basketball game and this is my third year at EMU. There has never been anything quite like this. When you have the whole lower bowl on the East side of the arena on their feet cheering, its pretty amazing.

Congrats to CMU on the win. It was definitely one of the best games I've been to here at EMU. Would have been better with a W for sure. Time to move on into the tournament.

Man that place is huge. Even with 2500 in attendance it still didn't looked packed on TV, but maybe they were showing the side that was less crowded. Coming from a program that also doesn't draw well it was good to hear the game was well attended.

RE: EMU expecting a big crowd tonight
yep, the Convo is very large, around 8,700, so two thousand plus leaves a lot of empty seats in the lower level and empty upper level.

The new stardard is for smaller arena and less dreaming of getting MSU or UofM to come to a packed arena holding 8 - 10K.

It is a shame that the lower bowl wasn't 80 - 90% full.

Students are out of school and that hurt.

Disappointed that more local (Southeast MI) CMU alums didn't attend.
