The way the MAC is acting about the sellout, you'd think 50,000 were coming.

In all fairness, it is a NATIONALLY televised game and for the MAC Championship.

Not only nationally televised but it got an 8 o'clock on a Friday night spot on ESPN2. I can't recall a MAC game getting a prime time slot like that before. Should be great exposure for both schools. That could explain the black jersey choice. They are probably our coolest looking jerseys so maybe they want to show them off for any potential recruits watching around the country.

Disagree, I would still say the gold ones are, but that is just my opinion!

Black is not one of our colors, I'm a fan of gold!

I'm in the black uni's camp and have been since they were debuted in Detroit a couple of seasons ago, although that horrible ending to that game made them uni-non-gratis to a lot of people since. We have been winning in them recently though!

In their defense, we also have white ones which isn't our color either. Both have blue and gold trim. I like the blue on the black with some gold mixed in. No apologies!

Fellas, we could wear purple uni's Friday. We are going to smack zippy around. I don't give a hoot.

The black uniforms are horrendous. You cannot see the number on the jersey. The diehard fans like us know the players by their game and demeanor and it's no big deal. For the average fan, they have no clue WTF is going on.

Lastly, I need no prompting...........AKRON STILL SUCKS.

Well, at least they aren't wearing PINK uniforms to advance breast cancer awareness, like at least one womens team has!

These are good things. Flipping out because a 5,500 seat arena sold out is not.

Whose flipping out? The Kent Akron games sell out pretty much every year.

Exactly. The marketing arm of the conference acting like this is something unusual is counterproductive. They should be acting like this is the norm.

2 years ago, after the Blizzard of 2008, all the KSU fans gathered in one section in GA. Any plans of doing that again? I mentioned before, I think our section of Kent State fans (of all ages and commonalities) thwarted any comeback from Akron and pumped up Fisher to nail that buzzer beater. If we are spread out across the JUG, it makes it hard to coordinate noise. I say to gether everyone in a non-Crayola gold shirt, and find a part in GA. AND NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SIT!

Section 9 is the spot.

I think section 1a is all a kent state reserved block. Its directly next to Ga seating if I remember correctly so we could set up camp there and just concentrate all the noise from the corner of the building. You always see more yellow at the jar than zippy gold in the MACC
