New Orleans
The wife and I are going to New Orleans the week of May 6-12. Neither one of us has ever been and we're looking for advice on the best places to eat, hear good music, and take in some sights. Your suggestions are welcome and appreciated. We're staying at The Windsor Court, which looks to be really nice. Thanks in advance! 04-cheers

There's too many to go into any detail. Don't know your budget

Breakfast: Camellia Grill - 626 S Carrollton Ave, New Orleans, LA 70118-1008
near Tulane where the streetcar turns from St. Charles to Carrollton
The Camellia Grill is an absolute must for anyone visiting New Orleans. The diner-style eatery opened in 1946 and is an old-fashioned, landmark restaurant in the city. The counter seating, happy servers, and vintage uniforms inspire a retro feeling among guests who dine on quality, southern diner food. The Camellia Grill is famous for its chocolate pecan pie, double-scoop freezes, and enormous breakfast omelets (served all day and night). The grill is opened late night so be sure to stop in any time for a genuine New Orleans good time!

Dinner

One of my favorites is where BBQ Shrimp was invented. Great food overall.
Pascal's Manale: 1838 Napoleon Ave, New Orleans - 895-4877

Also: A lot of variety; depends what you're looking for

Mr B's Bistro: 201 Royal St, New Orleans - 523-2078
Commander's Palace: 1403 Washington Ave, New Orleans - 899-8221
Brigtsen's: 723 Dante, New Orleans - 861-7610
Li'l Dizzy's Cafe: 1500 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans - 569-8997
Mandina's: 3800 Canal St, New Orleans - 482-9179
Domilise's Sandwich Shop & Bar: 5240 Annunciation, New Orleans - 899-9126
Tujague's: 823 Decatur St, New Orleans - 525-8676
Emeril's Delmonico: 1300 St Charles Ave, New Orleans - 525-4937
Emeril's: 800 Tchoupitoulas, New Orleans - 528-9393
Mother's: 401 Poydras, New Orleans - 523-9656

I wholeheartedly endorse Cletus's list. Especially Pascal's. It's not a tourist spot and the bbq shrimp and turtle soup are great!

Thought you only ate crow and sour grapes?

Drago's in the Riverside Hilton has some of the best oysters I've ever had. Get the charbroiled.

If you want to splurge at Brennan's for a incredible Breakfast.
It's in the Quarter at 417 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA

Have some Bananas Foster where it was actually invented.

I've done it once back in the day I took my Boss there for Breakfast.
