Coach Vint will be here as long as he wants to be here.

Did we need Hogan's son as much as we need Hooper?

Doesn't Fayetteville only have three spots to fill for that class? If so, there are at least three higher-rated players even in Arkansas than Vint. We might have a chance.

Not as long as there's an Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Miss State and ASU around. At least that's been the case with our past recruiting of good Arkansas high school athletes. Walk ons. Now that's a different story.
Well at least with one, who we tried to talk into signing with a D2 school, but seemingly he knew more than the coaches about his ability.
Oh, and don't forget Tulsa and even Western Kentucky (Jeremy Evans).

RE: Hooper Vint
If indeed Neighbour is coming here, we might not go after Vint. If Will comes to Little Rock, that probaly changes a lot of things.

Hooper's a center though, right? I see Neighbour as a power forward or even a small forward with his guard skills. Getting both would be incredible.

RE: Hooper Vint
I see Vint had a good game last night against NLR. He had either 17 or 19 points(the box said 17 and the writer had 19 in the article), 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks. He also hit a 3 pointer.

Probably not, we only recruit bigs who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

The correct answer is probably "we only "sign" bigs who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.04-cheers

Do we have a dentist on staff? Those cavities can become a big problem from all that gum chewing!04-cheers

Anybody know if the kid can play? Has anyone seen him in action? We really don't need another Tony Jones, Alexi Korolev, etc.

The one thing you can't coach is size. If you have a chance to sign a 6'11" kid, you sign him. It takes big kids longer to develop, but it's going to take a surplus of big guys to move to a higher level. Sure. We can win some games with hustle and some good bounces, but over the long haul you need big, skilled inside players. Mo State was a perfect example. They just played keep away inside and scored easy baskets.
Tonight we dodged a bulltet. But you can't expect that to happen most of the time against a talented team like Tulsa. I think a real measuring stick will be how we do against ORU on a neutral court. I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out.04-cheers
