Do we control our destiny now?
Winning out may not be realistic, but we do have a favorable schedule. We still need to beat Mercer and KSU at home. We went to OT with both of those teams and won on their courts. We also have Stetson and the two geographic schools. Anyone can lose on any night right now.

However, if we do win out, we hold the tiebreakers on ETSU and Campbell. We split with JU. What is the next tiebreaker after head-to-head? Do we control our destiny for a number 1 seed and at least an NIT berth?

After head-to-head they move down to the next highest rated team. So if we win out and JU wins out, the odds are the tiebreaker is each team against DLU or ETSU. JU split with DLU and has lost once to ETSU.

Conveniently we need to keep pulling for DLU to lose and for ETSU to win.

I believe the next tie breaker is record against the next highest finisher. I.E if lip finished 3rd and we finished tied with jax, then we would finish second because jax split with lip and sadly we were swept. It is really too early to tell how things would wind up below us as several of those teams still have to play each other.

The simple answer is us win out and jax lose one, then we would win. However, lip has proven and so have we, that if you're not ready to play on a given night, you can lose to anyone. I have a feeling we'll drop one of these last 5 just because. Hope I'm wrong.

This is correct.

The only teams Belmont can lose a tie-breaker to are Lipscomb (sweep) and Jacksonville if Lipscomb finishes third. If anybody else is in the third slot, or if there's a two-way tie for third not involving Lipscomb, Belmont wins.

So for y'all, wins by ETSU, Campbell and Mercer are good. Jacksonville wins are OK, and Lipscomb wins are bad. In other words, nothing new.
