Rice Alum running for NY Governor
Warren Redlich, a friend of mine from Hanszen, is running for NY Governor as a Liberty Party candidate. Warren is a good guy and very sharp. I lost touch with him after graduation when he went to Stanford. He ran for Congress a few years ago and served as Ron Paul's attorney in NY according to his website. I saw him on Facebook a few months ago and learned of his campaign from there.

George - I'd be surprised if you didn't know him too. As an aside, I'd put George and Warren in a class that I would say are natural leaders without in any sense being "Politicos" that lived for approval.

I recall when he ran for congress a few years ago but I hadn't seen this about the gubernatorial race. I see he refers to himself as a Tea Party Republican.

I think he ran for Congress on the ticket of a long-standing party that is local to New York (I think the Liberty Party?).

He definitely seems to lean more libertarian than neocon style Republican.

Warren and I were contemporaries and both played lacrosse for Rice. At the risk of damning him with extremely faint praise, let me say that Warren was a better player than me.

I forgot that. I had never seen Lacrosse before, and the physics of the Lacrosse ball hitting pavement caught my attention. The first bounce puts some pretty wicked spin on the ball.

Is Paterson going to resign as NY Gov? I'd love to know what the NY Times has on him.
