Upstate 69, Mercer 83 ---FINAL
Is this athletic department writers trying to send me a message, or just a coincidence? The cover story for the next game has Kusnyer as the cover picture with a caption to tell us how he's 2nd in the country in made 3 pointers. I noticed the last articles have been written by a different person than the one who mistakenly announced Mercer's record as 11-12 (which is happens to now be! jinxed!)

Anyways, gonna be a tough game and the drive back to the top is now til the end. A loss all but guarantees a mid to low seed. The team is more than capable of winning this one though! Contain the 7 foot tree in the first 5-10 minutes and he'll be worn out the rest of the game. He hurt Mercer badly in the first 5 of the last match, but then did nothing the rest of the time looking totally gassed.

Mercer now 12-12, 8-6. Everyone on the team was great with the exception of Kusnyer. Moore had a career night. Florence was doing it all. Jeff Smith is getting better and better at the three's. Emerson is the most consistent player I've seen.... and Mills had great stats as well.

The first half was a near disaster. The team shot 38%. Take away Kusnyer's first half (0-5) and the team shot 46%. The game would have been much closer with just a couple makes out of those 5 misses. The second half Kusnyer was 2-4, but shooting 2-9 for the game is just not gonna cut it.

In the end the team made an awesome comeback and should be a big confidence boost. They needed some good news since the team has the talent... I just feel as if the team is still trying to maximize their ability... meaning better management of the game with shot selection.

The one thing I've learned over the year is that Jeff Smith is clearly the 3-point threat on the team (41.4%).
