He's got dynamite court vision, it seems, and knows that game. There's your tall point guard. He can shoot. There's your shooting guard. He's tall and can get in there and scrap. There's your swing man.
He either needs to use that as his selling point or find his identity, and then really work on one position. I wish we could get another blog from coach on the individual players and their pluses/minuses and what they need to do/what their future is, etc.
The kid does not play in blowouts and is sitting behind a log jam of players. If he stays, we may need to red shirt him. Personally, I have not seen anything even in practice that says he can play d1 ball. I am willing to keep him and see how things pan out but we still need another big.

We've all seen, what, one practice before they were shut down? If I'm going to be truthful, none of may have seen enough of him to say that he can OR can't play D1 ball. But he's been pretty positive in the few minutes he's played. Don't worry. I don't think he's the messiah or anything, but just a player with immense potential.

Some players play because they love the game. I know Solo and III have always been gym rats and love to play for the sake of the game.
I don't know if Nick has that committment. That doesn't make him a bad person. But some just have a drive to succeed that far exceeds their talent, and others have more talent, but just not the drive. Which one Nick is will determine his future here. He might turn out good, great, or move on at some point. Let's hope for number two.

And I wouldn't think that a kid that has been so far away from home, would want to prolong that another year by redshirting. Being away from momma is tough for most any boy, but, most in this country can at least go home for Christmas, but when you're clear across the world, and you can't even go home for Christmas, that is even worse I'd think.

I'm pretty certain he wouldn't agree to a redshirt.
