5 In a Row!
I know that doesn't sound like a whole lot, but anyone can see the improvement on this team from a few weeks back. We now have a long homestand coming up that will do a lot to decide our season. We have put ourselves in a position to compete for a decent seed in the tournament. We have too many L's at this point to realistically think we can win the regular season, but we are out of the bottom of the league, and have a realistic shot at getting into the middle tier if we continue to play and improve like we have the past 5 games.

I think that the Upstate game on the road was a real game changer for this team. I think despite the fact that we didn't come away with a win, we finally realized that we had what it took to compete. Next game we had a huge lead, and barely hung on, but that was another positive step as we finally got that win we needed. We then proceeded to beat Stetson handily, and played a great game against Mercer on the road to get a win.

I am sure our guys are ready to get home, sleep in their own beds, and hopefully we can get the fans out to our games coming up. If you can't tell, I am pretty excited about where we are right now as a team. We were SO low a couple of weeks back, I would have never dreamed that we could win 3 in a row on the road heading into our homestand.

As always, Go Owls!

3 in a row seems like blind luck to me.

Great run. Mercer has to go north to Kennesaw soon.

I would not be surprised to see us spread the streak out to 7 after this home stage. The confidence seems to be building.

RE: 5 In a Row!
Figured I would change the thread title now that we have won 5. Going for #6 tonight. This win puts us at .500 overall, and over .500 in conference play. Big game for the Owls.
