CBS sportsline project Central Michigan as the MAC champ with them playing in a play in game as a #16 seed! How far have we fallen?

RealTimeRpi.com has KSU as a 13 seed, but yes if a MAC West team does win the tourney, the MAC is staring down the barrel of a 15/16 seed.

It's been a bad year all around for the MAC. There are zero prestige wins and some pretty bad losses. On the bright side, I think that every team in the MAC West beat Chicago State.

If CMU goes to the NCAA tournament will their legions of bandwagon fans pretend that they have been good at basketball for the last twenty years too? Maybe they can put up a billboard in Cleveland like the on the back of Commerica Park. I can't imagine a more annoying scenario playing out.

These projections are stupid and meaningless. That's what you should take from this.

It sound like you're saying Temple is the best team the MAC has played this year? Off the top of my head, I'd say Kentucky is probably the best team the MAC has played this year. Purdue and Michigan St. are up there too.
