Your Top Three Recruits This Offseason
Post some information on the three guys you think will be the best in your class.

I'll go with QB Greg Jenkins, WR Brett Moncreif and DB Jimmie Anderson.

Greg Jenkins is a three star dual-threat JUCO QB. At 6'2" 195 pound, and 4.5 40, he will make a good addition to the quarterback battle. He comes from Mississippi Gulf Coast CC. Couldn't find any stats on hi, but he's a lot like Omar Haugabook and Dwight Dasher.

Brett Moncreif is a three star on rivals, four on scout. At 6'4" 205 pounds, and 4.4 40, he'll add even more depth to an already loaded wr core. Moncrief was Greg Jenkin's teammate at MGCCC this past season. Both have enrolled at Troy with the early signing period. Moncrief had an offer from Ole Miss and turned it down for Troy, according to rivals.com.

Jimmie Anderson is a three star on rivals and their #28 JUCO player overall. He is also a First Team JUCO All-Amercan. Anderson is 5'9", runs a 4.4 40 and is 170 pounds. He is projected at cornerback and will probably take the spot adjacent to Bryan Willis.

Jenkins completed 59% of his passes for 2090 yards, 5 INTS and 23 TDs. He rushed for 653 yards and 8 TDs, averaging a little under five yards a carry.

not singling anyone out but when talking about football players you pretty much lose me when you throw our your first '4.4 in the 40'.

and my wife believes 5 is really 9. i'm not sayin' that is not what your reference material says.....it's just not as common as water and i see it thrown out as common as the pacific ocean when discussing recruits.

RE: Your Top Three Recruits This Offseason
OK I'm pitchin' in two Big XII transfers that will be charged to this year's signing class04-bow Both are definately impact players.04-cheers

Taken from a post by Harry on gomeangreen.com.

1). WR William Cole (5-10, 165, 4.5) Cedar Hill - Cole was one of the top recruits in the State of Texas two years ago (Rivals 4-star), signing with Oklahoma State out of high school. A knee injury sidelined him and he transferred to North Texas in the Fall of 2009. He will have two years of eligibility in Denton. There is a lot of excitement in the Mean Green Nation regarding Cole's potential impact in 2010.

2). WR Tyler Stradford (6-2, 175, 4.4) New Orleans, Louisiana - The first true deep threat receiver with size and speed that Dodge has had since taking over the reigns at UNT. Signed with Oklahoma out of high school and transferred to UNT(Rivals 3-star). Participated in Spring and Fall 2009 practices. Will have two years of eligibility remaining.

3). DE Aaron Bellazin (6-2, 230), Everman - (Rivals 3-star)Offers from SMU, New Mexico, San Diego State, Buffalo, ULM, SFA and UTEP. A quick, punishing defender that has a nose for the ball. Right now, Bellazin is UNT's top defensive recruit on the board.

stAte is workin on a 4* d-back who is currently committed to an SEC school.

If we don't get him - best guy might be a kicker/punter - if we can hold onto him.

Zach Hocker 75
K #17 K 5-11 165 Russellville H.S. (AR) Verbal

Hocker is a super explosive kicker/punter. He may have the strongest pure leg in the nation. Hocker had the single best punt charting session of the National Invitational Scholarship camp with an average of 49.5 yards and a 4.45 hang time during a 10 ball punting session.

Looks like Best stAte recruiting class maybe ever.

Although that class that went undefeated in our first year in D1 as Seniors in 1975 and had 11 or so guys get pro contracts had to be a good one! :)

CB Jimmie Anderson:

Apparently, Troy will have two starting All-Americans at CB next season:
First Team JC All-American Jimmie Anderson (projected starter) and FWAA Freshman All-American Bryan Willis (returning starter).
