Can you believe this #%$%@?
How many Press Conferences, ABC Infomercials, and Softball interviews did the dude have last year? Hundreds.
Exclusive: President Obama: We Lost Touch with American People Last Year. Obama Says Focus on Policymaking Distracted White House From Speaking Directly to American People
President Obama said today that he believes he lost a direct connection to the American people in his first year in office because he focused too heavily on policymaking.
One year into the president's term, George Stephanopoulos interviews Obama." If there's one thing that I regret this year is that we were so busy just getting stuff done and dealing with the immediate crises that were in front of us that I think we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people about what their core values are and why we have to make sure those institutions are matching up with those values," Obama told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview at the White House.
That I do think is a mistake of mine," Obama said. "I think the assumption was if I just focus on policy, if I just focus on this provision or that law or if we're making a good rational decision here, then people will get it."
Instead, the president said the American people ended up with a "feeling of remoteness and detachment" from the policymakers in Washington who are making big decisions.
"I think, you know, what they ended up seeing is this feeling of remoteness and detachment where there's these technocrats up here making decisions. Maybe some of them are good, maybe some of them aren't, but do they really get us and what we're going through?" he said.

RE: Can you believe this #%$%@?
Oh, thanks for explaining that Barry because for a moment I thought it was all the visits by union leaders to the White House, the apology tour, bowing to foriegners, firing the head of a private company and giving the unions part ownership of the company, forcing banks to take money and then blasting them for taking it, blaming Bush for everything except the brown stain in your undies, the lies you told during the campaign, the lack of television the health care debates on CSPAN, the beer summit, the Olympic failure, the $500,000 date you took your wife on, allowing a terrorist to have a lawyer, staying in Hawaii after a terrorist attack, taking 6 months to make a decision on sending troops to Afghanistan, signing a bill without reading it, hiring tax cheats, perverts and 9/11 truthers to hold czar and cabinet positions, not allowing lobbyists to work for the administration, etc....this stuff writes itself.
Man, I'm glad I was wrong.

"speaking directly to the American people about what their core values are"? He's going to tell me what my core values are? Hello, Orwell and 1984, Big Brother and Thought Police.
Why doesn't he plan to LISTEN to the American people about what their core values are?

What about going to a basketball game? Robert was all over the basketball game, explaining to us how that was Obama keeping contact w/ "the people."
What about inviting cop and professor to the WH for a beer?
Clearly in over his head.

If you remember he had an hour and a half on prime time TV before a Joint Session of Congress to outline his "plan"....
And its funny how very little he talked about made it into either the House or Senate versions.
Was the speech a smoke screen or did Pelosi and Reid blow him off?

I cannot believe this lame MoFo is president.
Barrack Obama Wrote:"When I promised change, I didn't promise that somehow members of Congress weren't going to be looking to try to get a project in their district or help a hospital in their neighborhood," the President said halfheartedly. But later he acknowledged, "There's a culture in this town, which is an insider culture. That's what I think people outside of Washington legitimately can't stand - a sense that they're not being heard. I think we've done actually a pretty good job of working in this town without being completely consumed by it. But from the outside, if you're just watching TV, and all you're hearing about is the reports, people may get the false impression that somehow [the insiders] are the folks we're spending more time listening to."

One thing for sure, his saying the words doesn't make them true.

More proof he's not even looking at the polls.
