Anyone know if the staff, Wheatley in particular are recruiting any big time RB's? We haven't recruiited omne in 2 years to date except the Florida kid but no one seems to know his status for ths coming spring/season.

It's my understanding that Axon has been on campus since fall and is doing well.

Nickle,

Is the assumption that he is considered a redshirt, not a prop, or anything else?

Of course, we'll know in March when SI posts the spring rosters. (I assume he and Thomas will be on it, but Moffett can not be).

I would think with Priest, Welch, Axon and Scherrer assuming all are ready to go that we would have good depth at this position. I could see us maybe going for one or two more.

Could also use a fullback. Wasn't an OL playing that position in short yardage situations last fall?

Yes it was a variation of the old Indiana Elephant I formation. Actually if we had offensive lineman more geared to a power running game than a passing protection spread offense all our RBs production would improve.
